Frieda M. Painter

Frieda M. Painter, 88, passed away Nov. 25, 2005, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction.She was born May 10, 1917, in Sterling to Ernest-Daniel and Lydia (Fritzer) Dick. She married Norman Milton Painter in Lawrence County, S.D., on Aug. 4, 1934.Frieda was a very loving person and had many friends. Her hobby was playing bingo. She also loved to eat lunch and visit with her friends at the senior center. She was a great mother and grandmother.Frieda was a member of the First Baptist Church of Garfield County.Survivors include daughter Judy Noriega, of Grand Junction; brothers Bill Dick, of Belle Fouche, S.D., and Vernon Dick, of Casper, Wyo.; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.Frieda was preceded in death by her husband, one son and one daughter.Visitation will take place from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the Rifle Funeral Home Chapel.A chapel service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Rifle Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor James Legg, of the First Baptist Church of Garfield County, officiating.Interment will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rifle.Memorial contributions may be made to the Rifle Senior Center, 50 Ute Ave., Rifle, CO 81650.Rifle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
