There will be poker rides, bike skill events, a bike show, light show, vendors and seminars. A free one-day pass will be given to Garfield, Pitkin and Eagle County residents. Get out for some golfThe second annual Garfield County Sheriff Department’s golf tournament starts at 8 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at the Battlement Mesa Golf Course. It’s limited to the first 120 players and benefits the sheriff’s auxiliary. Cost for teams is $260 and individuals $65 and includes a meal and a cart. Call Ron Van Meter at 384-3611 for more information.Snowmass hosts Festival of Fall benefitThe Snowmass Rotary & Snowmass Village Resort Association presents Festival of Fall, a Benefit for All, from noon until 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, on the Snowmass Village Mall. The event is a wine tasting provided by 10 Colorado wineries and food provided by eight local restaurants. Proceeds benefit local non-profits including YouthZone. Music will be provided by the Hell Roaring String Band, a group of teachers from Colorado Rocky Mountain School playing bluegrass. Bring a side dish or dessert. A $10 donation per family is requested. Proceeds will go toward raising $3,000 to purchase a replica of the old school stove for the school house.
