Retirement party
Carmen Roy, a 30-year Glenwood Springs Elementary School teacher, will have a retirement party from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, May 13, on the Hotel Colorado’s west veranda.
Former students, friends and fellow teachers are all welcome.
Mayday for Mutts
Mayday for Mutts, an adopt-a-thon by Colorado Animal Rescue, is next Saturday, May 22. The day will feature games for owners and dogs, dog demonstrations, and a fashion show.
Club Cabaret
St. Mary Catholic Church in Rifle will host Club Cabaret next at 7 and 9 p.m. next Friday. The cabaret will feature singing, dancing, and instrumental performances. Tickets are $10, $8 for seniors and kids under 12. Information: 984-0419.
RFHS art exhibition
Roaring Fork High School will host an art exhibition May 17-19.
