Build a scrapbook

A scrapbook workshop, “Crops,” will be offered from 6:30 to 10 p.m. starting Sept. 2 at the Glenwood Springs Community Center. Work on getting your photos into albums. New and seasoned scrapbookers are welcome. Drop-in fee is $3. For more information, call Marie Leavitt at 384-2035.

Take an acting class

After a short hiatus, Lon Winston, artistic director of Thunder River Theatre Company and long-time CMC adjunct faculty, is once again offering his acting workshop class Thursday evenings at the CMC Glenwood Center, 6 to 8:50 p.m., from Aug. 29 through Dec. 12. In-district tuition for the class is $123.


The Rifle Elks have installed a Key Tronic Power Play Bingo 500 machine. It’s all computerized and has the latest bells and whistles. The format is 16 games in a pack for $10. Everyone is invited to play. Visit the Elks Club at 501 W. Fifth St., Rifle. Early bird Bingo is at 6:30 and regular Bingo at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Call 625-3990 for details.
