Fund set up for I-70 victim’s family

As family and friends mourn Timothy Randall and David Moore Jr., who were killed Wednesday in an accident near Parachute, an Alpine Bank accounts have been set up in each of their names, as well as for Nichole McKissen, Randall’s widow and mother of his two sons, ages 1 and 4.

“If you are compelled to give or if you are able to share this information, please do so,” read a statement from the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office. “Our thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to the families of both men. What a truly tragic incident.”

Randall, 30, of Grand Junction and Moore, 19, of Clifton, were helping an older man change a tire on a bend in Interstate 70 when they were struck by a box truck and died at the scene.

Moore’s friend Jeanne Schmitt described him as “a gentle soul who would help out anybody. He was a very hard worker and was going far in life,” she added.
