In the Post Independent’s FYI section, which included a historical snapshot of Garfield County and its municipalities as well as contact information of organizations, contained Incorrect information regarding Garfield School District No. Re-2 and Garfield County School District No. 16.Re-2: Coal Ridge High School was inadvertently omitted from the Re-2 Info. Coal Ridge is located at 35947 Highway 6, New Castle, CO, 81647. The school’s phone number is (970) 625-6700. Principal Jeanie Humble’s e-mail is Re-2 assistant superintendent is Ava Lanes. She can be contacted at (970) 625-7600 or Dave Smucker takes over the position in July. Todd Ellis is the interim principal at Rifle High School and officially takes over the position in July. The e-mail address for Craig Jay, the director of maintenance, is incorrect e-mail address was listed for Riverside Middle School Principal William Nickell. The correct e-mail is, the Re-2 school board treasurer is Kim Goossens.District 16: Incorrect school board members were listed in the District 16 section. The school board consists of Dani Christensen (president), Ron Palmer (vice president), Jody Williams (secretary), Amy Beasley (treasurer) and Gary Munyer (director).Also, District 16 consists of the Grand Valley Early Childhood Literacy Center (preschool through kindergarten), one elementary school (first through sixth grades), one middle school (seventh and eighth grades) and one high school (ninth through 12th).
