Preschool Storytime at the Glenwood Springs Library is canceled for Wednesday, Nov. 24. It will resume on Wednesday, Dec. 1. All Garfield County libraries will be closed Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Materials may be returned to book drops, as always. Regular hours will resume Saturday, Nov. 27. Information: 945-5958.
The Glenwood Canyon bike path along I-70 is closed for the public’s safety. Maintenance crews have determined that icepack and forecasted storms warrant the seasonal closure. This path will remain closed from the No Name rest area (exit 119 on I-70) to the trailhead at Dotsero (mile marker 130.8).
The Glenwood Springs Community Center will be closed through Thursday, Nov. 25, due to the installation of the indoor running track and associated fumes. The facility is scheduled to reopen on Friday, Nov. 26. The ice rink will remain open for public skate sessions and hockey practice. Information: 384-6301.
Sample Colorado’s finest wines from local wineries at a wine and cheese party from 7-10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Sunlight Mountain Inn. Mid-valley Church is sponsoring its third annual free Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Dairy Kreme located next to the Sioux Villa Curio in downtown Glenwood Springs.
