Young shows new work

The landscapes of Silt artist Dan Young are on exhibit at the Basalt Gallery, 200 Basalt Center Cr. An artist’s reception is from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15. Show runs through Aug. 29. Gallery hours 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday. Sunday by appointment. Information: 927-9668.

Watercolor painters on exhibit

Kids clay show



The Carbondale Clay Center’s Kids Summer Show in the lobby of Alpine Bank, 0350 Hwy 133 in Carbondale, runs through Aug. 29. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. Information: 963-2529.

Fall Art Fest coming up

The Glenwood Springs Art Guild is taking applications for the annual Fall Art Festival, Sept. 24-28. The guild will accept work in oil, acrylic, water media, graphics, pastel, mixed media, collage, batik, hand-pulled fine art prints, sculpture and hand-thrown or hand-built pottery.
