Garfield County precinct caucuses take place Tuesday evening
The caucus process is the way for voters to get involved in the selection of candidates for offices ranging from the governor to the Legislature to the treasurer and secretary.
The first step is the precinct caucus, to be held at your neighborhood precinct location. During the precinct caucus, you will determine delegates (people who represent your desires and wishes) to conduct business at the County Assembly. Precinct caucuses will be conducted March 16 at 7 p.m.
Each precinct has a specific location to meet.
The next step is the County Assembly, which will be held for Garfield County on Saturday April 3, from 8 a.m. to noon at Glenwood Springs High School auditorium, 1521 Grand Ave., Glenwood Springs.
The final step is the State Assembly, scheduled for Saturday, May 22, at the Budweiser Event Center, in Loveland. Here delegates select our ballot nominees.
Start a dialogue, stay on topic and be civil.
