Editor’s note: The Garfield County Sheriff’s Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Warrant arrest: At 1:28 p.m. on Sept. 3, deputies were contacted by a motorist needing assistance with his vehicle on I-70. During the contact it was discovered that the motorist had an outstanding warrant. Eric Jensen, 28, of Glenwood Springs, was arrested, booked at the county jail and later released on bond.

Harassment, domestic violence: At 3:25 p.m. on Sept. 3, deputies responded to a disturbance on Douglas Pass near Loma. After further investigation, Bradley Joe Barcus, 43, of Fruita, was arrested for domestic violence and harassment and transported to the Garfield County Jail.

Theft: At 9:43 a.m. on Sept. 4, deputies responded to a theft near Carbondale, where several items were taken from a yard sale. The case is closed pending further evidence.

Driving under the influence: At 9:04 p.m. on Sept. 4, deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in the 2000 mile of County Road 109 outside Carbondale. Deputies contacted Matthew David Hite, 37, of Glenwood Springs, and arrested him on suspicion of careless driving and driving under the influence and booked him at the county jail.

Warrant arrest: At 12:04 a.m. on Sept. 5, a deputy assisted a neighboring agency with a warrant arrest in the 15700 block of Highway 82. Daniel Rodden, 21, of Carbondale, was booked at the county jail and later released on bond.

Driving under the influence: At 1:39 a.m. on Sept. 5, deputies conducted a traffic stop at Stone Quarry Road and Tamarisk Trail in Parachute. Jerred Sanchez, 21, of Parachute, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under restraint and violation of a restraining order and was booked at the county jail.

Violation of a restraining order: At 8:06 p.m. on Sept. 5, deputies responded to a report of a violation of a protection order in the 200 block of Auburn Ridge Lane in Glenwood Springs. Maria Elena Gonzalez Ramos, 36, of Glenwood Springs, was arrested for violation of a restraining order, booked at the county jail and later released on bond.

Identity theft: At 8:55 p.m. on Sept. 6, deputies received a report of a possible identity theft in the 200 block of Riverbend Drive.

Theft: At 6:51 a.m. on Sept. 7, a deputy took a report of a theft that occurred in the 500 block of Mesa Drive outside of Rifle.

Driving under the influence: At 2:48 a.m. on Sept. 8, deputies contacted a vehicle in the 100 block of Stone Quarry Road in Parachute for a traffic violation. After further investigation, Yolanda Guillermo-Castillo, 39, of Parachute, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence,and impeding normal traffic (driving too slowly), booked at the county jail and later released on bond.

Driving without a valid license: At 1:34 p.m. on Sept. 8, deputies contacted a vehicle in the 2000 mile of County Road 114 outside of Glenwood Springs for speeding. The driver, Martin Vladmir Flores, 19, of Basalt, was cited for speeding, driving without a valid license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Warrant arrest: At 2:23 p.m. on Sept. 8, a deputy arrested a man in the 1500 block of Railroad Avenue in Rifle on a Garfield County warrant. Levi Lamont Nash, 19, of Rifle, was booked at the county jail and later released on bond.

Criminal trespass: At 7:48 p.m. on Sept. 8, deputies responded to a criminal trespass call in the 200 block of Mountain Shadows Drive in Glenwood Springs.

False reporting: At 12:48 a.m. on Sept. 9, deputies responded to an assault in the 20200 block of Highway 6 in Glenwood Springs. Elsa Murillo Ramirez, 38, of Carbondale, was cited for false reporting to authorities.

Underage drinking, assault: At 1:12 a.m. on Sept. 9, deputies responded to an assault in the 100 block of Tamarisk Trail in Parachute. Kienin Netasia Lorin Mower, 20, of Parachute, was arrested for criminal tampering, violation of a restraining order, resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer, underage drinking and assault and booked at the county jail.

Warrant arrest: At 4:49 a.m. on Sept. 9, deputies arrested Jesus Horacio Nevarez-Sierra, 27, of Carbondale on a warrant in the 50200 block of Highway 6 in Glenwood Springs and lodged him at the jail.

Vandalism: At 9:59 a.m. on Sept. 9, deputies responded to a report of vandalism in the 100 block of Parachute Way outside of Parachute. The case has been closed pending leads or suspects.

Criminal mischief: At 11:01 p.m. on Sept. 9, deputies took a report of criminal mischief in the 200 mile of County Road 127 in Glenwood Springs. This case is closed pending further leads.

Car wreck: At 3:49 a.m. on Sept. 10, deputies responded to a report of an assault and accident near New Castle. Deputies determined that no assault had occurred; however, a male party intentionally rammed another vehicle with his vehicle.

Warrant arrest: At 5:12 a.m. on Sept. 10, deputies contacted a vehicle at Ute Avenue and County Road 245 near New Castle. A passenger, Anthony Gray, 20, of Parachute, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and transported to the Garfield County Jail.

Theft: At 10:28 a.m. on Sept. 10, a deputy received a report of a theft in the 4400 mile of County Road 209 in De Beque. The case is closed pending further leads.

Warrant arrest: At 4:56 p.m. on Sept. 10, deputies responded to a request for help in the 32900 block of River Frontage Road near Silt. During the call, officers learned that Spencer Dale Myers, 37, of Rifle, was wanted on an outstanding warrant. he was arrested, booked at the county jail and later released on bond.

Theft: At 11:20 a.m. on Sept. 11, deputies were advised of a theft that had occurred in the 35900 block of Highway 6 in New Castle. This case is closed pending further leads.

Driving under restraint: At 4:11 p.m. on Sept. 11, deputies stopped a vehicle at Spencer Parkway and North Battlement Parkway in Parachute for a traffic violation. Michael Angel Calvillo, 19, of Parachute, was arrested for driving under revocation, booked at the county jail and later released on bond.
