Editor’s note: The Garfield County Sheriff’s Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Bicycle murdered: At 5:02 p.m. on Nov. 25, deputies took a report of criminal mischief. A man had left his mountain bike in the area of JQS Trail and Hubbard Mesa near Rifle to go on a hike, and when he returned to his bicycle he found it has been shot several times.

Domestic violence: At 3:55 p.m. on Nov. 25, deputies responded to a call of harassment near Parachute, and after investigation arrested Kyson A. Mock, 27, of Hudson, on charges of harassment, domestic violence and possession of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Garfield County Jail.



An inside job: At 8:36 a.m. on Nov. 27, deputies took a report of theft at a home outside of Glenwood Springs, in which a woman said her purse was stolen from just inside her front door.
