Editor’s note: The Garfield County Sheriff’s Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Stolen car and tools: At 3:41 p.m. on Feb. 12, deputies took a report of a vehicle theft and the associated theft of tools from a victim in the Parachute area. The case is under investigation.

Runaway: At 1:02 a.m. on Feb. 13, deputies responded to a report of a juvenile runaway in the Parachute area. The case is open and under investigation.

Stopped and arrested: At 6:31 p.m. on Feb. 13, deputies stopped two people walking along I-70 at mile marker 116 near Glenwood Springs, after receiving a report of a restraining order violation. Robert D. Kitchens, 29, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on a charge of violating a restraining order, and Patricia Kay Godfrey, 32, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on a warrant for failing to comply with court orders. The two were booked into the Garfield County Jail.
