Editor’s note: The Garfield County Sheriff’s Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
Warrant arrest: Timothy Allen House, 34, of Parachute was contacted by deputies in Parachute at 5:30 p.m. April 28 on a $550 Parachute municipal warrant for failure to appear on an earlier disorderly conduct charge. He was arrested and lodged at the county jail.
Driving without a valid license: Leroy Heald, 31, of Rifle was stopped by deputies at 2:30 a.m. on April 29 while driving on Highway 6 near Rifle for driving without his vehicle’s headlights on. He was placed under arrest on suspicion of not having a valid vehicle registration and driving without a valid driver’s license.
Warrant arrest: Eliza Ann Marie Duran, 32, of Rifle was contacted by deputies at 7:15 p.m. on April 29 in the 1100 block of E. 18th Street in Rifle, and found to be wanted on a warrant for failure to appear in a felony case. She was arrested and lodged in the county jail.
Warrant arrest: Christopher James Fanaro, 31, of Denver was stopped by deputies while driving on I-70 near Parachute at 9:30 p.m. on April 29. He was found to be wanted on a warrant for failure to appear, and placed under arrest.
Driving under the influence: Daniel James Bauer, 29, of Golden was stopped by deputies at 1:20 a.m. on April 30 at 6th and Pine in Glenwood Springs for multiple traffic violations. He was arrested and booked into the county jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving without a valid license, driving with an open container, careless driving, speeding and other traffic violations.
Driving without a Colorado license: Emiliano Villatoro-Tello, 30, of Glenwood Springs was stopped by deputies while driving in the 1000 block of Grand Avenue at 5 a.m. on April 30. He was ticketed for a defective tail light and for failing to obtain a Colorado driver’s license within 30 days after moving to the state.
Harassment and criminal mischief: Deputies were called to a domestic disturbance at 11:30 a.m. on April 30 in the 500 block of Riverbend Way in the Iron Bridge subdivision near Carbondale. Deputies arrested Todd Vincent Trautwein, 32, of Carbondale on suspicion of child abuse, criminal mischief and harassment; and arrested Amy Lou Goodwin, 33, of Carbondale on suspicion of child abuse, assault, criminal mischief and harassment.
Auto theft: Deputies assisted the New Castle Police Department at 12:15 p.m. on April 30 with a stolen vehicle that was found in the Peach Valley area. New Castle police impounded the vehicle.
