Garfield County Sheriff’s Report

Editor’s note: The Garfield County Sheriff’s Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Harassment: Deputies responded to a reported assault at 5:28 p.m. on Dec. 13 in the 7800 block of Highway 82 outside Glenwood Springs. After investigation, Charles Crippen Wirth, 59, of Glenwood Springs, was cited for harassment and released.

Warrant arrest: Deputies contacted a woman on South Grand Avenue in Glenwood Springs at 4:25 p.m. on Dec. 14. Kalinda Orblom, 24, of Glenwood Springs, was found to have active warrants for her arrest and was transported to the Garfield County Jail.

Warrant arrest: A deputy contacted a vehicle at 10:59 a.m. on Dec. 14 on the Highway 13 bypass in Rifle on a traffic violation. Herbie Nezwood, 35, of Farmington, was found to have an outstanding warrant. Nezwood was taken into custody and transported to the Garfield County Jail. He was released on bond.

Warrant arrest: Deputies contacted a man at 6:36 p.m. on Dec. 14 in the 200 block of Tamarisk Trail in Parachute who was known to have an active warrant for his arrest. Travis Johnson, 28, of Rifle, was taken into custody and transported to the Garfield County Jail.

Harassment, assault: At 9:02 p.m. on Dec. 14, deputies were advised of a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Ponderosa Drive outside of Glenwood Springs. Deputies investigated and Todd Christopher Mulligan, 40, of Carbondale, was arrested for harassment, driving under restraint, third-degree assault, and possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana.

Vicious cat: Deputies responded to Valley View Hospital for a reported cat bite at 1:37 a.m. on Dec. 15. An 11-year-old girl was treated and released for a bite on her hand. The cat was taken to a local veterinarian for testing.

Warrant arrest: Deputies responded to an EMS call in the 100 block of Cliff View Circle in Parachute. Kelly Ann Harper, 23, was found to have a warrant. Harper was transported to the Rifle Police Department to post bond and was released.
