Editor’s note: The Garfield County Sheriff’s Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Stolen vehicles: Deputies took a report of stolen vehicles at 9:57 p.m. on Feb. 2 in the 200 mile of County Road 333 in Rifle. This case is still under investigation.

Driving under the influence; underage drinking: Deputies conducted a traffic stop at 11:21 p.m. on Feb. 2 on Interstate 70 in Silt. The driver, Miguel Luevano-Lopez, 25, of Edwards, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, open container and speeding and lodged at the county jail. A passenger, Raul Lopez-Velasco, 20, of Avon, was cited for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.



Disorderly conduct: Paul Edward Henderson, 21, of Rifle, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct for an incident that occurred at 3:27 p.m. on Feb. 3 at the Garfield County Jail in Glenwood Springs.

Possession: Deputies initiated a traffic stop at 2:06 p.m. on Feb. 4 in the 5000 mile of County Road 117 outside of Glenwood Springs. The driver, Christian Dane Parker, 22, of New Castle, was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia, having no attached license plates, and possession of less than two ounces of marijuana. The passenger, Christopher Lee Kimble, 25, of Glenwood Springs, was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia and less than two ounces of marijuana.



Harassment: Deputies responded to an alleged harassment incident at 4:52 p.m. on Feb. 4 in the 100 block of Emerald Lane outside of Parachute. Rochelle Joann Warn, 50, of Rifle, was released on a summons for harassment.

Harassment: Deputies responded to a call of harassment of a nurse at 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 4 at Valley View Hospital. Michael Damien Malloy, 56, of New Castle, was cited for harassment.

Warrant arrest: At 11:44 a.m. on Feb. 3, deputies contacted a man in the 200 mile of County Road 333 near Rifle wanted on an active warrant. Karl Ray Wakefield, 32, of Rifle, was arrested on the warrant, booked at the county jail and later released on bond.

Obstruction, false reporting: Deputies responded to a possible suicide at 11:31 p.m. on Feb. 3 in the 300 block of Mountain Shadows Drive in Glenwood Springs. Deputies took James Leonard Kucera, 46, of Glenwood Springs, into custody for false reporting and obstructing a peace officer. He was released on bond.

Driving under restraint: A deputy stopped two vehicles for speeding at 3:10 p.m. on Feb. 5 in the 3000 mile of County Road 311, south of Silt. One driver, Derrik Gage Smith, 24, was arrested for driving with a revoked license and traffic violations, and the other driver, Chelsea Renea Davis, 23, of Silt, was released on a summons for driving under restraint. Smith was released on bond.
