Gary Abbott of Rifle/Grand Junction passed away Sept. 12, 2012 at the age of 34. He was born Sept. 30, 1977, in Aspen, Colo., to Kenneth L. and Carol S. Abbott.

Gary is survived by his parents; grandparents, Sarah and Jack of Yuma, Ariz.; brothers Ryan and Kyle of Rifle, Colo.; children Kaelyn Devrie, Tyler, Hunter, Mason, Landon and Chris; several nieces and nephews; and is preceded in death by his sister Rachel.

Gary was loved by his family, friends, and co-workers. He was very intelligent and hard-working. He loved the thrill of the jump as he often went skydiving. He also loved hiking, grilling on the BBQ and being with his family.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. at the RoseHill Cemetery, 777 Birch Ave., Rifle, followed by a memorial service at the home of Kyle Abbott, 1347 Anvil View Ave., in Rifle.

The family wishes for all who knew Gary to come.
