George Fleetwood

George Fleetwood, of Glenwood Springs, passed away in Coos Bay, Ore., on June 10, 2005.

George was born in Omaha, Neb., on July 3, 1945, to Darleen and Herbert K. Linden.

George was a disabled Vietnam veteran and spent years as an alcohol and drug counselor in Grand Junction. He was a cancer survivor and liked to spend his mornings in front of the coffee shop at Summit Canyon.

George is survived by his son Paul (Jennifer), of Glenwood Springs; sister Judy Preble, of Los Angeles; and nephew David Washington, of Los Angeles.

Those who knew George will surely miss him.
