George MickealSeptember 29, 1908 – March 20, 2003George Mickeal of Lakewood, a former resident of Rifle, died Thursday, March 20, 2003, at his home. He was 94.He was born Sept. 29, 1908, in Garden City, Kan., to Mary Klein and Frederick Mickeal.Mr. Mickeal worked for many years as a farmer in the Rifle area.He married Emma Simon. She survives.He was preceded in death by a son, Bob Mickeal; by brothers Fred and Leo Mickeal; and by sisters Katie, Pauline and Molly Mickeal.Mr. Mickeal is survived by his wife, Emma Mickeal; by a daughter, Jacqueline Heiman; by a sister, Elsie Mickeal; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.A funeral service was held Tuesday, March 25, at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home in Lakewood.Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rifle.Horan & McConaty Funeral Home of Lakewood is in charge of arrangements.Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Rocky Mountain Chapter, 789 Sherman St., Denver CO 80203.
