Georgia Arthel Watts

Georgia Arthel Watts, of Rifle, Colo., died Aug. 13, 2002, at Clagett Memorial Hospital in Rifle. She was 69.

She was born June 3, 1933, in Wendell, Idaho, to George Arthur and Marie (Trujillo) Ainge. She spent her childhood in Parachute, Colo., graduating from Grand Valley High School in 1950.

She married Robert L. Watts May 11, 1962. He died April 5, 1995, in Durango, Colo. She was divorced from a previous marriage to Charles Drollinger Jr.



She loved knitting and other craftwork.

One of her proudest moments was being in an article written by Marge Lowderback.



She was preceded in death by brother Jack Ainge and sister Geniveve Postma.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Robert A. and Sherry Watts, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Michael R. and Leah Watts, of Parachute; daughters and sons-in-law Jacque and Robert Erickson, of Grand Junction, Lasca Schreiner, of Rifle, Susan and James Garcia, of Rifle, and Darlene and Ben Rose, of Grand Junction; sister Wilma Lee, of Provo, Utah; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and special friends Carmen Shoup, Marie Morales, and the staff of Grand River Hospital District.

No services are planned.

Rifle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Watts’ family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and compassion during their time of loss.
