Gertrude C. Roberts

Gertrude C. Roberts, formerly of Grand Valley, Rifle and Silt, passed away Dec. 14, 2005 in Tyler, Texas.Gertrude was born July 27, 1929 in Ramah, Colo., to Clarence and Carrie Katherine (Christian) Lorimor.She spent her childhood in Grand Valley.She was married to J.A. Roberts, who preceded her in death. Gertrude was a homemaker and her hobby was crocheting. She loved animals and was a great cook.Survivors include son Clarence (Sylvia) Roberts, of Cheyenne, Wyo.; daughter Tina (Bob) Hodson, of Loveland; sister Barbara Holland, of California; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.There will be a chapel service at 1 p.m. Monday at the Rifle Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Del Whittington, of the Open Door Church in Rifle, officiating.Interment will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rifle.Rifle Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
