Gervineer Rose Crowley

Gervineer Rose Crowley, 94, better known as “Chick” of Big Sandy, Tennessee, passed away May 30, 2011. Gervineer was born Aug. 3, 1916 to Wesley and Cornelia Pickett in Doon, Iowa. She married Arnold Schoon on June 1, 1940 and together they had seven children.

Gervineer is survived by her children, Lyle (Jacque), Basalt, Colo.; Kim (Merri) New Castle, Colo.; and Don (Susan) Battlement Mesa, Colo., Sharyl Allen (Joe) Big Sandy, Tenn, twelve grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Arnold Schoon, Roland Dupree and Ray Crowley; and children Dale Schoon, Lonny Schoon, Darla Ezell; and her brother Lee Pickett. There will be a graveside service Tuesday June 7, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Basalt, CO. Pastor Jeff Gerber will officiate the service.
