Glen passed away peacefully at home following a long illness. He leaves behind his loving wife, Hilary, his children Leona and Walter, and grandson, Daniel (all of Glenwood Springs, CO). He is also survived by his father, James Fierek of Sun City, AZ, and Jimmy Fierek (Marie) of Togo, MN. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Fierek.

Glen was raised in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and came to the Roaring Fork Valley in 1972. He served on the Carbondale Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Ski Patrol on Sunlight Mountain for many years. Glen was an avid outdoorsman, both at work and at play. He loved hunting, fishing, skiing and all that the mountains have to offer. He was a gentle and kind man, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

There will be a memorial gathering for Glen at The Rivers Restaurant in Glenwood Springs, on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 6:30 p.m.
