Glenwood Canyon Resort launches new Web site

Glenwood Canyon Resort, formerly known as Rock Gardens Resort, launched a new Web site, http://www.glenwoodcanyonresort.com. The site features improvements that are currently underway at the campground with the new resort cabins, camper cabins, RV sites, and other facilities. “There are several great photos on the website that show what the interiors of the resort cabins will look like next year,” said Kathy Schneider, Glenwood Canyon Resort co-owner, in a press release. The first step of the redevelopment includes 10 resort cabins, 11 camper cabins, 11 new RV spots, a new group tent area, a new waste treatment facility, a new bathhouse with laundry and a game room. The resort cabins are fully furnished with a private bedroom, bath, spacious loft, full kitchen, living room, dining area, and deck. Camper cabins are designed for those who want more of a rustic camping experience without the hassle of hauling a camper or setting up a tent. The new RV sites will accommodate 40 foot rigs and offer full hook-ups for water, electricity, sewer, cable TV, and high-speed internet. The resort cabins should open in time for Memorial Day in May 2005. The entire project will be completed in three phases over the next two to three years with an activity center and restaurant overlooking the Colorado River. Employee housing is also an important component to the project.
