Glenwood Hot Springs announces a New Year’s Eve photo contest

Post Independent
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado

Calling all shutterbugs, the Glenwood Hot Springs is getting ready to ring in the New Year tonight, when the Hot Springs Pool will be open until 1 a.m. Snap some photos of the festivities and submit your best to the Glenwood Hot Springs New Year’s Eve Photo Contest. The top photo will win a $50 gift card, and second place will receive a $25 gift card. Photos should be submitted to by Jan. 15, 2010 in TIFF or high resolution JPG format.

New Year’s Eve at the Glenwood Hot Springs is the only night the Hot Springs stays open extra late. The family-friendly, non-alcoholic event is a memorable, magical evening. The combination of the late hours, cold night air, holiday lights, starry skies overhead and clouds of floating steam above the warm hot springs water all set the stage for the moment when the one year passes into history and the promise of another one begins. Capture the moment, the people, the atmosphere in a photo and win a gift card for use anywhere on the Glenwood Hot Springs property including the Spa of the Rockies, the Sport Shop, the Grill, the Glenwood Hot Springs Athletic Club, the Hot Springs Lodge and of course, admission to the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool.

The Athletic Club will also stay open until 1 a.m. In addition to the extended hours, the festivities will include noisemakers for revelers, a countdown to the new year, plus guests will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win a one-year season pass to the Hot Springs Pool, a $230 value. All-day admission to the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool on New Year’s Eve, including the extended hours, is $13.25 for adults and $9.25 for kids ages 3 -12.
