The Glenwood Springs Hot Springs Resort is diving into the new year with a celebration to remember.
The resort will transform into a hub of excitement on Tuesday, welcoming families and friends to ring in 2025 with games, prizes, and a lively countdown to midnight.
“This is one of our favorite nights of the year,” General Manager Taylor Mays said. “We’ll have activities for everyone, and it’s always exciting to see so many people come back year after year.”
The celebration includes a mix of games, activities, and family-friendly entertainment. Starting at 7 p.m., hourly games will keep guests engaged, with contests like alligator wrestling, handstand competitions, diving board challenges, and the ever-popular belly flop contest.
“There are prizes for each of the games, divided by age group,” Mays said. “It makes it fun for everyone, no matter how old you are.”
For those feeling adventurous, the resort is hosting treasure hunts throughout the night, featuring hidden golden ducks. Guests who find one can claim special prizes. The evening will culminate in a countdown to midnight, complete with party favors like hats and beads.
“We love the energy during the countdown,” Mays said. “It’s such a fun way to bring everyone together to welcome the New Year.”
Admission is set at the resort’s peak weekend rates, with tickets priced at $50 for adults and $31 for children. The cost covers access to the pools and amenities from 9 a.m. on Dec. 31 through 1 a.m. on New Year’s Day. Reentry is included, so guests can come and go throughout the day.
“Our restaurant will stay open until 11 p.m.,” Mays said. “This is also the first year our new Yampa area, with its cozy fireplace, will be part of the event. It’s going to be a great addition.”
To maintain a safe, family-focused environment, alcohol will not be permitted on the property. Security staff will conduct bag checks to ensure the event stays enjoyable for all.
Looking ahead to 2025, the resort has exciting plans in store, including a full remodel of its 107 lodge rooms and the launch of a boutique hotel inside the historic bath house.
“We have so much to look forward to next year,” Mays said. “But for now, we’re focused on making this New Year’s Eve a night to remember.”
