Glenwood rolls to lopsided victory at Eagle Valley

GYPSUM, Colorado – Michaela Mansfield scored four goals and Hope Whitman finished with three assists as Glenwood Springs stomped host Eagle Valley, 9-0, in girls soccer play on Thursday.

The Demons took a 6-0 lead into halftime in Gypsum, where Holly Brown, Diana Banks, Corey Gera, Erika Stripp and Sadey Stillman all joined Mansfield in finding the net.

Jackie Knott and Gera chipped in with two assists apiece and Leah Mansfield and Brown had a helper apiece for Glenwood Springs, which improved to 6-1-0 with the win.

On deck for the Demons is a Tuesday trip to Battle Mountain. On Thursday, Glenwood hosts Rifle. Then it’s off to Mesa State College to face Palisade on Saturday.
