Glenwood Springs chamber hosts ‘economic forecast: 2013’
Find out the latest economic data and hear from government and industry leaders when the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association hosts the “Economic Forecast: 2013” breakfast sponsored by the Community Banks of Colorado from 7:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at The Loft at The Hotel Denver, 402 Seventh St. in Glenwood Springs. The cost of the event is $35 for Glenwood Springs chamber members ($50 nonmembers) and includes a hot breakfast, program and materials. The latest edition of TRENDS, the chamber’s award-winning barometer of economic indicators, will be also unveiled.

Forest Service investigates Independence Pass snowmobiling case; alleged culprit posted pictures on social media
Numerous people have identified Breckenridge resident David Lesh as one of the men riding snowmobiles on snow-free terrain near Aspen. Lesh has posted several pictures of his illegal activity on social media, including snowmobiling at what he identified as the summit of Mount Elbert.
