Glenwood Springs High School DECA students continue a 30-year tradition of excellence

Staff ReportUnder the direction of Bryan Whiting, DECA teacher at GSHS, students in this program have long dominated DECA competitions at the state and local levels and have been a presence to reckon with at the national level competitions. Many students credit Mr. Whiting and DECA with providing some of the most important learning of their high school careers. Congratulations to Bryan and his students. Look for an article coming out soon in our local papers providing an up close and personal look at the historical achievements of the DECA program and our students.Congratulations to the following GSHS DECA students who placed at the 2011-12 Western Slope DECA District Competition on Dec. 5. A total of 251 students from nine Western Slope schools participated.
