Glenwood Springs Police Report

Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Double driving under the influence: Officers stopped a vehicle in the 2100 block of Grand Avenue at 11:30 p.m. on April 10 for not having its headlights on. The driver, Jeremy Adam Beach, 35, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, eluding, driving without proof of insurance, driving while his license was revoked as a habitual alcohol offender, and driving without the vehicle’s headlights on. The passenger, Monique Jessica Beach, 27, of Glenwood Springs, had also been in physical control of the vehicle and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Both parties were booked at the county jail.

Warrant arrest, shoplifting: Police were called to the Target store at 2:35 p.m. on April 11 on a shoplifting report, where they contacted a man and woman. Dennis James Cobb, 23, of Rifle was cited for petty theft of items valued at $55. Berenice Astorga, 18, of Rifle was arrested on a $415 Rifle Municipal Court warrant for failure to pay, and was booked at the county jail.
