Glenwood Springs Police Report

Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Warrant arrest: Police were called to the 400 block of Ninth Street at 2:48 p.m. April 13 regarding a man wanted on a warrant. Jesse Michael Brown, 31, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on a no-bond warrant for failure to comply in a trespass case.

Violation of restraining order: Officers were called to a motel in the 100 block of West Sixth Street at 12:20 a.m. on April 14. Jesse Garcia, 23, of Silt, was found to be drinking in violation of a court order and was placed under arrest. He was booked at the Garfield County Jail.



Driving under the influence: Police stopped a motorist for speeding on South Glen Avenue at 1:29 a.m. on April 14. Troy Lervick Robb, 26, of Denver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and speeding 10 mph over the limit. He was later released to a sober person on a summons.

Driving under the influence: Police were called to the 800 block of Grand Avenue at 3 a.m. on April 14 regarding a disturbance. The suspect was later apprehended while driving. Lucas Alexander Kaplan, 20, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, underage drinking, harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia.



Driving under the influence: Police stopped a motorist for failing to stop at a stop sign at Ninth and Grand at 10:36 p.m. on April 14. Gerardo Lerma-Rubio, 33, of Albuquerque, N.M., was summoned for driving under the influence and failure to stop at a stop sign.

Drug paraphernalia: Police stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of Grand Avenue at 10:56 p.m. on April 14. Alexandria Ledesma, 24, of Glenwood Springs was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Driving under the influence: Police stopped a motorist after seeing the vehicle pull out in front of oncoming traffic at Sixth and Pine at 1:52 a.m. on April 15. It was also seen to run a red light. Jessica Rosa, 22, of Glenwood Springs was summoned for driving under the influence and careless driving.

Driving under the influence: Police stopped a motorist who was seen weaving on I-70 at 2:26 a.m. on April 15. Roberto Ivan Cantu, 25, of Mission, Texas, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and failure to drive in a single lane.

Driving under the influence: Police stopped a vehicle after it ran a stop sign at Pitkin Avenue and Riverside Drive at 10:58 p.m. on April 15. Kimberly Maria Otero, 25, of Glenwood Springs was summoned for driving under the influence, driving without proof of insurance and failure to stop at a stop sign.

Driving under the influence: Police stopped a vehicle at Eighth and Midland at 12:40 a.m. on April 16 for improperly signaling. Matthew Erin Hayes, 37, of Glenwood Springs was summoned for driving under the influence, driving with expired license plates and without proof of insurance, and improper signaling.

Drug paraphernalia: Police were called to a residence in the 800 block of Blake Avenue at 12:34 a.m. on April 16 over a noise complaint. Police observed drug paraphernalia in the residence and cited Laura Michelle Risley, 18, of Glenwood Springs for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Trespass: Police were called to a residence in the 1000 block of Park West Drive at 12:05 p.m. on April 17 regarding a woman trespassing at her former spouse’s residence. Debra Ann Cerri, 50, of Glenwood Springs was cited for trespass.

Trespass: Police saw a man at the Exit 116 Hot Pots at 10:15 p.m. on April 16. John Ator, 40, of Glenwood Springs was cited for trespass.

Assault: Police were called to a disturbance at an establishment in the 700 block of Grand Avenue at 11:45 p.m. on April 16. Officers later summoned Renee Erlinda Black, 50, of Glenwood Springs for assault.

Intoxicated pedestrian: Police observed an intoxicated man dancing in the roadway and then urinating on the sidewalk in the 700 block of Grand Avenue at 2 a.m. on April 17. Leroy Lee Lake, 25, of Glenwood Springs was cited for being drunk on the road and excreting in public.

Driving under the influence: Police contacted the driver of an illegally parked vehicle in the 800 block of Colorado Avenue at 2:50 a.m. on April 17. Stephanie Alexandra Sheppard, 27, of Glenwood Springs was summoned for driving under the influence.

Trespass: Police observed five people at the Exit 116 Hot Pots at 9:37 p.m. on April 17. Summoned were Colleen Thereasa Hefferan, 18, Nicole Lee Haynes, 25, Paul Joseph Fabbri, 39, and Sean Lee Squires, 24, all of Eagle, and Rachael Hefferan, 24, of Gypsum.

Burglary: Police were called to a disturbance in the 51000 block of Highway 6 at 10:05 p.m. on April 17 in which a man had tried to break in to a residence. John Weber Turner, 25, of Silt, was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.

Marijuana: Police contacted a man sitting in a vehicle behind a business in the 100 block of Sixth Street at 9:34 p.m. Keenan C. Sturm, 23, of Rockford, Ill., was cited for possession of marijuana.

Marijuana: Police contacted a man outside a bar in the 800 block of Grand Avenue at 11:31 p.m. on April 19 seen with a marijuana pipe. Erich Andrew Kirchenwitz, 23, address unknown, was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Driving under the influence: Police stopped a motorist after seeing a vehicle without its taillights on at 1:44 a.m. on April 20 in the 1800 block of Grand Avenue. Melissa Hernandez, 21, of Silt was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving without proof of insurance, driving while her license was under restraint, careless driving and driving with a missing taillight.

Harassment: Police were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 800 block of Blake Avenue at 5:42 p.m. on April 20. A woman was reported to have hit a man in the face. Jane Cooper, 58, of Rifle was arrested on suspicion of harassment and domestic violence and booked at the county jail.

Marijuana: Police were called to Glenwood Springs High School at 7:49 p.m. on April 20 regarding three teens smoking marijuana. Jacob Hunter Ritter, 18, of Grand Junction, Daniel Wieseler and Jordan Paul Jones, ages and addresses not reported, were cited for possession of marijuana.

Driving under the influence: Police stopped a vehicle for running a stop sign in the 400 block of 23rd Street at 9:30 p.m. on April 20. The driver, Cody Jay Boren, 32, of Glenwood Springs was cited for driving under the influence and running a stop sign. A passenger, Jeremiah Jackson, 28, of Glenwood Springs was arrested for violation of a restraining order and booked at the county jail.

Driving under the influence: Police stopped a vehicle for failing to drive in a single lane at 11:33 p.m. on April 20 at Sixth and Pine. Maria Vitalievna Filonenko, 23, of Denver, was summoned for driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and failure to drive in a single lane.

Warrant arrest: Police were called by a bail bond company at 12:05 a.m. on April 21 regarding a man wanted on a warrant. Tyler Neil Fry, 34, of Denver was arrested on a $3,000 Garfield County bond for failure to appear.

Driving under the influence: Police stopped a vehicle for driving the wrong way down a one-way street in the 200 block of Ninth at 1:39 a.m. on April 21. Angela Ann Felix, 41, of Gypsum, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving the wrong way on a one-way street, and driving without a valid license or proof of insurance. She was booked at the county jail.

Driving under the influence: Police stopped a vehicle for weaving on I-70 at 2 a.m. on April 21. Dylan Joseph Cox, 26, of Silt, was summoned for driving under the influence and failure to drive in a single lane.

Trespass: Police observed a man on a beaten path to the railroad tracks at Midland and Devereux at 8 p.m. on April 21. He was seen going through a hole in the fence. He was summoned and escorted away, only to return a few minutes later. Keith Richard Wayne, 50, of Phoenix, Ariz., was cited for trespass.
