Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Warrant arrest: At 12:15 p.m. on Aug. 6, police stopped a vehicle in the 2300 block of South Glen Avenue for a traffic violation. Daniel Christopher Cazier, 20, of Grand Junction, was cited for driving with a canceled license, arrested on a warrant and lodged at the Garfield County Jail on the warrant.

Burglary: At 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 7, a woman advised police that she woke up to a man in her bedroom – in the 51500 block of Highway 6 – who had stolen some money and was pulling on her clothes. The woman got the money back, and the man ran off on foot. Andres Ignacio Gaytan-Martinez, 23, of Glenwood Springs, was later arrested for burglary, trespass and theft.



Trespass: At 6:57 p.m. on Aug. 7, police contacted two men and a woman for trespassing on the railroad right-of-way in the 400 block of Seventh Street. Dylan Sharp Dwyer, 22, of Glenwood Springs, Jessie Deiter Poquerusse, 21, address unknown, and Nicholas Alexander Watson, 27, of Glenwood Springs, were cited for trespassing. Editor’s note, Nov. 5, 2012: All charges in this case were dismissed.

Disorderly conduct: At 8:28 p.m. on Aug. 8, police were called to a disturbance in the 900 block of Palmer Avenue. Police arrested Blaine Lewis Williams, 27, of Glenwood Springs, for disorderly conduct and booked him at the Garfield County Jail.



Public urination: At 1:15 a.m. on Aug. 9, police contacted a group of intoxicated individuals in the 400 block of West Seventh Street. While speaking with them, James Kenneth Linstrom, 21, of Fort Collins, decided to urinate in front of the officers. He was issued a summons for public urination.

Driving under the influence: At 10:40 a.m. on Aug. 9, police stopped a motorist at West Seventh Street and Cowdin Drive for driving with vision obstructed. Police cited Eric Emery Harrison, 27, of Glenwood Springs, for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, driving with vision obstructed, driving under restraint, and possession of marijuana.

Harassment: At 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 10, police responded to a disturbance at Eighth and Grand in Glenwood Springs. A witness advised that he saw a man throw a woman on the ground. Michael Campbell, 27, of York, Pa., was arrested for harassment and domestic violence and booked at the Garfield County Jail.

Violation of a restraining order: At 6:12 p.m. on Aug. 10, police were dispatched to a disturbance in the 700 block of Grand Avenue. Alexandria Marie Anderson, 18, of El Centro, Calif., was booked at the county jail for violating a court order barring her from drinking.

Theft, criminal tampering: At 8:13 p.m. on Aug. 10, police took a call of a man acting strange and for stealing a backpack and pillow in the 2000 block of Grand Avenue. Joshua Benjamin Trevino, 32, of New Castle, was arrested for theft and criminal tampering. He had also rearranged some property in front of a business without their permission. He was lodged at the Garfield County Jail.

Violation of a restraining order: Officers on patrol saw people camping in a truck in the 1200 block of Devereux Road at 10:05 p.m. on Aug. 10. Matthew Todd Pauley, 47, of Denver, was arrested and lodged at the Garfield County Jail for violation of protection order.

Open container: At 12:37 p.m. on Aug. 11, police observed two people with open containers at the 116 Hot Pots. James David Heckman, 37, and Leslie Ann Johnson, 28, both of Highlands Ranch, were cited for open container.

Fighting: At 7:23 p.m. on Aug. 11, police were dispatched to Veltus Park for reported underage drinking. Officers found two men fighting. Raymond Arnold Bedwell, 48, of Rifle, was arrested for fighting and booked in the Garfield County Jail.

Warrant arrest: At 10:13 p.m. on Aug. 11, police stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense in the 200 block of Ninth Street. Jesus Antonio Mendoza, 28, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on a Garfield County warrant for failure to pay on original charges of DUI and false reporting, and booked at the county jail.

Criminal mischief, assault: At 12:19 a.m. on Aug. 12, police investigated a noise complaint near a local hotel in the 51800 block of Highway 6. Rodger Dwight Blackard Jr., 40, address unknown, allegedly injured a woman and damaged her personal property. He was arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal mischief and booked at the county jail.

Warrant arrest: Police contacted a man and a woman for a code violation at 3 p.m. Aug. 14 at South Glen Avenue and Blake Avenue. Robert Lee Stadler, 30, of Rifle, was wanted on Clark County, Ind., warrant for failure to appear in a narcotics case. He was arrested and lodged at the Garfield County Jail.

Warrant arrest: Police were dispatched to the Garfield County Jail at 2 p.m. on Aug. 15. Christian Sanchez, 18, of Carbondale, was arrested there for a Garfield County warrant for assault and harassment. Sanchez was later booked at the county jail.
