Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Theft: At 3:48 p.m. on Oct. 12, police were notified that a furnace was removed from a residence in the 3100 block of Hager Lane without the owner’s permission. The removal of the furnace caused damage to the home. William Henry Weist, 34, of Glenwood Springs, was arrested for theft and criminal mischief and lodged at the county jail.

Warrant arrest: At 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 12, police contacted a man at the county jail for a warrant. Ian Robert Martinez, 22, of Rifle, was arrested and lodged at the Garfield County Jail.

Driving under the influence: At 11:19 p.m. on Oct. 12, police arrested Paul Homero Otero Jr., 22, of Rifle, in the 3400 block of S. Glen Avenue for suspicion of driving under the influence, driving with excessive alcohol content, driving with a revoked license – habitual offender and weaving and lodged him at the county jail.

Driving under the influence: At 1:45 a.m. on Oct. 13, police contacted a vehicle for disregarding a traffic control device in the 100 block of W. Sixth Street. James Michael Peterson, 54, of Denver, was cited for driving with a suspended license and suspicion of driving under the influence.

Open container: At 2:57 p.m. on Oct. 13, police were notified of a man consuming alcohol at a bus stop in the 3100 block of Blake Avenue. Police cited Jesse Bryn Butler, 31, of Glenwood Springs for an open container violation.

Trespass: At 3:28 p.m. on Oct. 13, police observed four people trespassing at the 116 Hot Pots. Chelsia Elizabeth Sloan, 18, of Craig, Elsa Puran Kholdi, 28, of Boulder, Gordon Mann, 25, of Vail and Jason James Burge, 34, of Grand Junction were cited for trespassing.

Possession: At 9:35 p.m. on Oct. 13, police contacted a vehicle for speeding on I-70. Jake Dylan La Rue, 24, of Blue River, was released on a summons for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.

Driving under the influence: At 1:12 a.m. on Oct. 14, police stopped a car for driving without headlights at Sixth and Maple streets. Sophia Rae Fetterhoff, 28, of Glenwood Springs, did not have proof of insurance and was arrested and lodged at the Garfield County Jail for driving without headlights, suspicion of DUI and no proof of insurance.

Underage drinking: At 3:48 a.m. on Oct. 16, police cited Forest Slabac-Hilbert, 19, of Glenwood Springs, for underage drinking in the 700 block of Blake Avenue.
