Glenwood Springs Police Report
Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
Underage drinking: Police were called to the Walmart store at 11:50 p.m. on Jan. 7 regarding an intoxicated woman. Pamela Jean Bell, 20, of Saint Johns, Fla., was cited for underage drinking.
Warrant posted: Police were called to a residence on Rock Ledge Drive at 4:12 p.m. on Jan. 8 regarding a disturbance. Officers were unable to locate the suspect, Samantha Lavon Tuttle, 24, of Grand Junction, and issued a warrant for her arrest on suspicion of criminal mischief and assault. Tuttle turned herself in later that day and was booked at the county jail.
Fighting: Officers were called to a restaurant in the 2100 block of Grand Avenue at 11:10 a.m. on Jan. 8 for a fight between two staff workers. Autumn L. Stines, 21, and Stacia Smith, 19, both of New Castle were cited for fighting.
Warrant arrest: Tyson Allen Smith, 29, of Rifle turned himself in to a bail bondsman at 4:58 p.m. on Jan. 10. Smith was wanted on a $1,500 Garfield County warrant for failure to comply in a menacing case, and was booked at the county jail.
Warrant arrest: Officers were notified at 7 p.m. on Jan. 10 regarding a man in the 1300 block of Blake Avenue wanted on a warrant. Anthony Gregory Carthy, 22, of Gypsum was arrested on a no-bond warrant from Eagle County for an obscenity and sexual contact case and booked into the county jail.
Driving under the influence: Officers contacted a motorist on I-70 at 11:20 p.m. on Jan. 11 for failure to drive in a single lane. Shawn Kimble, 47, of Glenwood Springs was cited for driving under the influence, open container of alcohol, and failure to drive in a single lane.
Violation of bond conditions: Police contacted an intoxicated man outside a bar in the 800 block of Grand Avenue at 1:14 a.m. on Jan. 12. Marc Daniel Merchant, 28, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on suspicion of violating bail bond conditions and court order barring him from drinking, and was booked at the county jail.
Driving under the influence: Officers contacted a motorist in the 1000 block of Grand Avenue at 2:34 a.m. on Jan. 12. David Daniel Curiel, 25, of Glenwood Springs was cited for driving under the influence.
