Glenwood Springs Police Report
Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
Driving while ability impaired: Police contacted a motorist in the 1000 block of Grand Avenue at 12:01 a.m. on Jan. 13 for a defective headlight. Margaret L. Loomis, 25, of New Castle was cited for driving while ability impaired, driving without proof of insurance and driving with a defective headlight.
Warrant arrest: Edgar Omar Rojo-Moreno, 38, of Carbondale turned himself in to a bail bondsman at 8:18 p.m. on Jan. 15 on a $500 Clear Creek County warrant for a traffic violation.
Driving under restraint: Officers contacted a motorist in the 500 block of Pine Street at 12:50 a.m. on Jan. 16 for a traffic violation. Fernando Pages, 24, of Boulder was arrested on suspicion of driving without a valid license, driving without proof of insurance and failure to drive in a single lane. He was booked at the county jail.
Driving under the influence: Officers stopped a motorist in the 800 block of Grand Avenue at 11:22 a.m. on Jan. 16. Richard Leslie Longtin, 55, of Glenwood Springs was cited for following too closely and driving under the influence.
Driving under the influence: Officers stopped a motorist for suspected careless driving in the 1000 block of Grand Avenue at 3:11 a.m. on Jan. 18. Jesus Rojas Alcala, 32, of Glenwood Springs was cited for driving under the influence and careless driving.
Vicious animal: Officers were called to a residence in the 1200 block of Midland Avenue at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 18 regarding a dog bite. Officers contacted the dog’s owner, Michael Joshua Rutherford, 26, of Glenwood Springs and cited him for dog at large and vicious animal. The dog was taken to the Colorado Animal Rescue shelter by a friend of Rutherford’s, and police placed it in a 10-day quarantine.
Warrant arrest: Police stopped a man for a code violation at South Glen and Blake avenues at 2:43 p.m. on Jan. 18. They discovered that Michael Royce Crowley, 55, of Snowmass was wanted on a $1,000 warrant for failure to appear, and booked him at the county jail.
Criminal mischief: Police were called to a disturbance at a tavern in the 700 block of Grand Avenue at 6:06 p.m. on Jan. 18. Larry G. Klebig, 50, of Carbondale was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief and booked at the county jail.
