Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
Menacing: At 9:30 a.m. on March 22, police were dispatched to disturbance that occurred in the parking lot of a business in the 100 block of Ninth Street. Police were advised that a man pulled a knife and threatened another man. No contact was made and officers were unable to locate the suspect. After further investigation, police were able to determine identity of the suspect and an arrest warrant was issued for Jason Lyndell Stanton, 39, of Glenwood Springs, for menacing (felony).
Drunk driving: At 4:38 p.m. on March 22, police contacted the driver of a vehicle in the 100 block of Virginia Road after the driver was reported to be under the influence (alcohol). Police investigated and found that Clement Francis Meyer, 68, of Glenwood Springs, showed many signs of being under the influence (alcohol). Police issued Meyer a summons on the charges of suspicion of driving under the influence (alcohol) and illegally stopping a vehicle.
DWAI: At 10:45 p.m. on March 22, police contacted a vehicle for traffic infractions at Sixth and Pine streets, and upon further investigation, issued a summons to Remi Chaignon, 28, of Boulder, for failing to drive in single lane and suspicion of driving while ability impaired.
Violation of a restraining order: At 2:41 a.m. on March 23, police contacted a man that had been at a bar in the 1000 block of Grand Avenue. Police knew that this man was restrained from drinking alcohol on a protection order. After further investigation, Dmytro Oleksandrovic Parokha, 27, of Glenwood Springs, was arrested for violation of a protection order and lodged at the Garfield County Jail.
Not a whiz: At 12:13 a.m. on March 24, police responded to a report of a man urinating in the entranceway of a restaurant in the 300 block of Seventh Street. Upon further investigation, police arrested Cameron Alexander Kilpatrick, 20, of Ft. Collins, for criminal impersonation, false reporting to authorities and criminal tampering. He was later lodged at the Garfield County Jail.
Public urination: At 1:40 a.m. on March 24, police observed a man urinating in an alley in the 300 block of Eighth Street. Nicholas Allan Rasmussen, 31, of New Castle, was released on a summons and his promise to appear for public urination charges.
