Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
Warrant arrest: Douglas Louis Molinari, 45, was observed by officers in the 100 block of 6th Street at 2 p.m. on April 25. He was arrested on a municipal warrant for failure to appear on an alcohol violation.
Illegal camping: Transito Alvarado, 36, of Glenwood Springs was cited for illegal camping at 1:20 a.m. on April 26 after officers noticed his vehicle parked in the 100 block of Soccer Field Road. Police report that Alvarado was intoxicated and asleep inside the vehicle.
Concealed weapon: William L. Johnson, 47, of Glenwood Springs was contacted by officers who saw him drinking alcohol at 5 p.m. on April 26 in Two Rivers Park. He was summoned for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and for carrying a concealed weapon.
Drug abuse: Craig Daniel Moore, 28, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on several charges after officers were called to the Target store at 7:30 p.m. on April 26, after someone reported seeing a man walk out of the family changing room, leaving blood and syringes behind after injecting drugs. Moore was lodged in the county jail on suspicion of illegal use and possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and violation of a restraining order.
Warrant arrest: Dewan Leodis Leake, 40, of Glenwood Springs was arrested at 1:45 a.m. April 27 in the 800 block of Blake Avenue on a Garfield County warrant for drug possession and dealing. While he was being placed under arrest, he dropped a package of suspected cocaine packaged for sale, and was also found to be in possession of marijuana, adding to charges on which he was booked at the county jail.
Loose dog: Maria Josefa Najera-Esteven, 33, of Glenwood Springs was cited for a loose dog after officers were called to deal with a dog that residents had found running loose at 4:15 p.m. on April 27 in the Cardiff Glen neighborhood.
Alcohol violation: Brenton Charles Merlin, 47, of Glenwood Springs was arrested while officers were assisting another agency in a case at 8:45 p.m. on April 27 at a residence in the 2500 block of Woodberry Drive. Merlin was found to be intoxicated in violation of a court order barring him from drinking.
Warrant arrest: Jose Misael Pineda-Lemus, 43, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on a municipal warrant for failure to appear on a trespass charge. Officers contacted him at the Tomahawk Truck Plaza in West Glenwood at 10 p.m. on April 28.
