Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Shoplifting: Officers were called to Safeway at 7 p.m. on May 13 on a report of theft. They cited Ursula Marie Lora, 22, of Glenwood Springs on suspicion of petty theft.

Driving under the influence: Officers stopped a motorist for speeding in the 1400 block of Grand Avenue at 1 a.m. on May 14. They arrested Brian Hugh Hinkel, 35, of Littleton on suspicion of driving under the influence and speeding 10 mph over the limit.



Driving under the influence: Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 6 in West Glenwood at 2:15 a.m. on May 14. They arrested and later released on a summons Aris Alejandro Nunez-Torres, 32, of Grand Junction on suspicion of speeding and driving under the influence.

Shoplifting: Police were called to Target at 2:55 p.m. on May 14 on a report of theft. They cited Anastasia Jane Stowe, 18, of Glenwood Springs on suspicion of petty theft.



Violation of restraining order: Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 2300 block of Devereux Road at 3 p.m. on May 14. A passenger was found to have a restraining order preventing him for being in contact with the driver. Mark Ernest White, 40, of Rifle was cited for violation of the restraining order.

Shoplifting: Police were called to 7-Eleven on Grand Avenue at 5:45 p.m. on May 14 on a report of theft, where an investigation revealed about $15 worth of stolen items. They cited Paul Tyler Hassett, 23, of Glenwood Springs on suspicion of petty theft.

Open container: An officer on patrol at 2 a.m. on May 15 on Park Drive spotted two suspicious individuals. One tried to run from the officer, but was caught. Jordan Daniel Tarr, 19, of Carbondale was arrested on suspicion of underage drinking, open container and obstructing police. The other man, Alan Austin Prater, 21, of Carbondale was arrested for an open container of alcohol.

Trespass: Officers spotted a woman walking a dog at 7:30 a.m. on May 15 in the area of the Centennial hot pots near Two Rivers Park on posted private property. Kimberlie Kay Beham, 42, of Glenwood Springs was cited for trespass.

Menacing: Officers were called to a disturbance at 6:30 p.m. on May 15 at a business on Market Street in Glenwood Meadows, where a man was reportedly threatening others, swearing, and swinging and brandishing a belt. Joshua Benjamin Trevino, 31, of New Castle was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing, harassment and violation of a court order barring him from drinking.
