Glenwood Springs, CO, Colorado
Trespass: Officers were called to the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park at 11:30 p.m. on June 11 after an intoxicated patron refused to leave on the manager’s request. The patron, Namthip Luthens, 37, of Carbondale, again refused to leave, and was arrested on suspicion of trespass.
Violation of restraining order: Officers observed a man kicking a street light on the Grand Avenue Pedestrian Bridge at 2:30 a.m. on June 12. On contact, they found he was intoxicated and had a court order barring him from drinking. Casey Edward Story, 22, of Meeker was arrested for violating the court order.
Criminal mischief: Officers were called to a business in the 51000 block of Highway 6 in West Glenwood at 2:50 a.m. on June 12. On arrival, they saw a suspect near a vehicle that had a window broken out. Juan Francisco Romo-Hernandez, 30, of Lakewood was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief.
Driving while ability impaired: Officers stopped a vehicle for a defective license plate light. On further investigation, they summoned and later released Jose Alberto Funes Silva, 48, of Glenwood Springs on suspicion of driving while ability impaired, no proof of insurance and a defective light.
Marijuana: Officers stopped a vehicle at 8th and Midland at 11:30 p.m. on June 12. They arrested James Russell Kansas Jr., 39, of Glenwood Springs on violation of a restraining order, possession of less than two ounces of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Driving under the influence: Officers stopped a motorist for failing to drive in a single lane at 6th and Maple at 2 a.m. on June 13. Royce Daniel Kareus, 28, of Grand Junction was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and failing to drive in a single lane. He was later released on a summons.
Disorderly conduct: Offers were called to the Quality Inn in West Glenwood at 6:30 p.m. on June 13 on a report of a fight between employees. Ty Coulter Blocker, 31, of Glenwood Springs was summoned for alleged disorderly conduct.
Trespass: Officers saw five people trespassing at the hot pots near I-70 Exit 116 at 7:15 p.m. on June 13. Cited for trespass were Brian John Colvin, 35, of Grand Junction, Calvin Kyle Bloodgood, 21, of Grand Junction, and Erick Lynn Aarons, 37, of Clifton.
Warrant arrest: Officers arrested Sharon Lee Wilson, 46, of Silt at 11 p.m. on June 13 on a no-bond Garfield County warrant for violation of a restraining order.
Illegal camping: Officers contacted Karl Stewart Jones, 52, of Glenwood Springs at 700 Cooper Ave. at 12:15 a.m. on June 14 and cited him for illegal camping.
Warrant arrest: Officers stopped a motorist for failing to use a turn signal. The driver, Julie Ellen Robinson, 45, of Glenwood Springs was found to be wanted on a $1,500 warrant for giving false information to a pawnbroker. She was arrested and lodged at the Garfield County Jail.
Loose dog: A person found a lost dog near the Hotel Colorado at 9:10 p.m. on June 16. The dog was taken to the CARE shelter.
Vicious dogs: Officers were called to a report of vicious dogs at noon on June 17 in the 1000 block of Park West Drive. The officer helped the reporting party get the dogs back into their yard and summoned Margaret Crespin Collins, 46, of Glenwood Springs for harboring vicious animals.
Warrant arrest: Charles Nelson Callen, 28, of Sommerset turned himself in to police at 4:25 p.m. on June 17 on a $330 Pitkin County warrant for failure to appear.
Marijuana: An officer spotted a suspicious vehicle at the Glenwood Springs Airport that failed to stop at a stop sign when departing the area at 9:20 p.m. on June 17. When the officer stopped the vehicle, a strong odor of marijuana came from inside the car. The driver told the officer that she and the four passengers had been smoking marijuana. Amelia Grace Eshelman, 18, Glenwood Springs, was arrested on suspicion of possession of less than two ounces of marijuana and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. A passenger in the car, Matthew Jacob Murphy, 18, of Rifle, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. The juveniles in the car were released to the custody of their parents.
Trespass: Officers investigated a report of trespass in an apartment in the 2700 block of Midland Avenue at 10 p.m. on June 18. Following an investigation, Robyn Elizabeth Weintraub, 49, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on suspicion of first degree criminal trespass and lodged in the county jail.
Contributing to delinquency of a minor: Officers were called for intoxicated juveniles walking in the 2100 block of Grand Avenue at 7 p.m. on June 18. They arrested a teenage boy and girl for underage drinking and later released them to their parents. Officers also arrested Andrew Joseph Garcia, 21, of Silt on suspicion of contributing to delinquency of a minor.
