Glenwood Springs Police Report

Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Driving under the influence: Officers stopped a motorist for speeding in the 1400 block of Grand Avenue at 1:27 a.m. on July 30. Peter Wayned Freyschlag, 20, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, underage drinking, speeding 10 mph over the limit, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged at the county jail.

Driving under the influence: Officers stopped a motorist for speeding in the 2500 block of South Glen Avenue at 1:27 a.m. on July 30. Beau Thomas Peterson, 26, of Silt was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and speeding. He was later released on a summons.



Theft: Officers were called to a residence in the 1300 block of Oak Way on a report of theft. After an investigation, Mayra Alejandra Corral-Loya, 22, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on suspicion of theft and tampering with evidence. She was lodged in the county jail.

Warrant arrest: Police contacted a panhandler at the intersection of 20th and Grand at 2 p.m. on July 31. Brian Jacob Shraiberg, 32, of Parachute was wanted on a warrant, placed under arrest and lodged at the county jail.
