Glenwood Springs police report
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
Marijuana: An officer contacted a group of men in a vehicle in the 900 block of Colorado Avenue at 12:08 a.m. on Aug. 28 after observing them preparing to light a suspected marijuana pipe. One of the men, Sergio Alberto Gutierrez, 28, of Carbondale, was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Loose dog: The animal control officer was called to the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue at 2:20 p.m. on Aug. 28 on a complaint of a vicious dog. There was not enough evidence for a vicious dog citation, but the officer cited Randy Wade Fitzgerald, 46, of Glenwood Springs, for allowing a dog to run at large.
Burglary: Officers were called at 2:40 p.m. on Aug. 31 about a burglary at Glenwood Springs High School. Police believe four men entered the building and did about $250 in damages. Arrest warrants were issued for three adults and one teen. Valden Lee Jensen, 18, of Glenwood Springs, was located and arrested along with the teenager. The other two adult suspects remain at large.
