Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
Barking dogs: Officers received a criminal complaint on Oct. 3 regarding dogs disturbing the peace in the 800 block of Stoneridge Court. Santana Marie Miller, 40, of Glenwood Springs, was cited for an animal disturbing the peace.
Violation of restraining order: Police contacted David William Pease, 48, of Glenwood Springs, at 2 a.m. on Oct. 4 in the 700 block of Grand Avenue and cited him for violation of a court restraining order.
Warrant arrest: Victor Giovanni Padilla-Baeza, 20, of Glenwood Springs, turned himself in at 8:20 a.m. on Oct. 6 on a $50 warrant for underage drinking.
Open container: Officers observed a man drinking in public on a local sidewalk at 9 a.m. on Oct. 6. Bret Lee Mosely, 53, of Denver, was arrested for an open container violation and lodged at the county jail.
Drinking in public: Police saw a man drinking in Sayre Park at 1:15 p.m. on Oct. 6. Todd Keith Thomas, 50, of Glenwood Springs, was cited for drinking in public and open container violation and for possession of marijuana.
Open container: Police on foot patrol in the 900 block of Grand Avenue at 11:50 p.m. on Oct. 6 saw three people in a vehicle drinking. Cited for open container violations were Francisca Lili Samano, 39, German Orlando Zura, 30, and Gladis Pineda, 44, all of Basalt.
Warrant arrest: Christopher Michael Sprayberry, 27, of New Castle, turned himself in on a warrant at 8 a.m. on Oct. 7. The no-bond warrant was for failure to comply in a drug case.
Warrant arrest: Officers were called to a parking lot area in Glenwood Meadows at 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 7 about a possible drug deal occurring. They observed a man and a woman standing in the parking lot and talking to another man in a car. The man outside the car, Jeffrey Larry Amos, 39, of Rifle, said he had just finished smoking marijuana, and was arrested for violation of a court order barring him from drug use and for smoking marijuana in public. The woman outside the car, Sommer Wight, 34, of Glenwood Springs, was arrested on three Garfield County warrants totalling $3,885 for failure to pay and two counts of failure to appear.
