Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Driving under the influence, underage drinking, reckless driving: Police were dispatched to a fight at the corner of 10th and Grand at 12:07 a.m. on Feb. 16. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate parties fighting but did observe a vehicle leaving the scene that was later contacted for driving violations. Upon contact with the driver, police arrested David Scholz, 20, of Glenwood Springs, for DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, no proof of insurance, underage drinking and possession of an illegal weapon. Scholz was lodged at the Garfield County Jail.

Assault, disorderly conduct: At 8 p.m. on Feb. 16, police were notified of an assault at a residence in the 600 block of Cowdin Drive. After reviewing witness statements and video footage, Deborah Kaye Natichioni, 43, of Glenwood Springs, was issued a summons for assault and disorderly conduct.



Warrant arrest: Police were advised of a woman with a confirmed warrant of Garfield County at a bail bondsman’s office in the 200 block of Seventh Street at 11:25 a.m. on Feb. 16. Police arrested Whyllie Timber Frazier, 25, of Parachute, and lodged her at the Garfield County Jail.

Shoplifting: Police were called to a business in the 1400 block of Grand Avenue at 3 p.m. on Feb. 17 for a shoplifter in custody. Officers issued Darwin Franklin Cortez Contreras, 21, of Silt, a summons for petty theft.



False reporting: Police were called to Valley View Hospital for a report of an unruly patient at 3 a.m. on Feb. 18. While officers were investigating, the man called 911 and made an allegedly false claim. Jason Bryan Christo, 27, of Glenwood Springs, was arrested lodged at the Garfield County Jail.

Possession: At 12:23 p.m. on Feb. 18, police were patrolling a parking lot in the 51000 block of Highway 6 and located two men smoking marijuana in a vehicle. Kyle James Lapp, 24, of Basalt, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and released. Troy Robert Westbrook, 24, of Aurora, was arrested and lodged at the Garfield County Jail for possession/use of marijuana.

Driving under the influence: Police contacted a vehicle for weaving at 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 19 in the 1100 block of Grand Avenue. Upon contact with the driver, police detected signs of intoxication. Police arrested Michael Dean Anderson, 25, of Gypsum, for DUI, driving with a revoked driver’s license and weaving. Anderson was lodged in the Garfield County Jail.

Warrant arrest: At 2:10 p.m. on Feb. 19, police were made aware of a woman in the 800 block of Cooper Avenue who had two outstanding warrants for her arrest. Jayne Cooper, 58, of Glenwood Springs, was arrested and lodged at the Garfield County Jail on the outstanding warrants.
