Glenwood Springs Post Independent has a new look today
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
You’ve heard about it, and now it’s here.
Today, the Glenwood Springs Post Independent is launching its new extended reach model. More content, further reach for advertisers and a new approach to producing a daily newspaper here in the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys.
As you will see, we will still provide our readers with all the local content you’ve always seen. There will now be more news from the region and beyond.
The newspaper will be different to navigate. Our local content will be in the first six pages and the last six pages of the paper. Our opinion pages will be located in the back of the paper. In the middle will be news from around the region, state, nation and world. The new valleywide sports pages and a valleywide events calendar will also be in the middle of the paper.
There will be some minor tweaking with our comics sections. And TV listings are back.
Use the index on page 1 as your navigation tool.
The main difference you will see is in the additional amount of content we can now provide. You will still get news, features, community news and sports from this area. But now, with the added space, we will be able to bring you more news from outside the area.
Our Friday arts and entertainment section will also change a little and now be one section between the Aspen Times and the Post Independent. The Options name will switch to Weekend.
Our classified section will also be larger with combined ads from the Post Independent and the Times.
You can pick up the Glenwood Springs Post Independent in racks and in stores from Rifle to Catherine Store outside Carbondale. South of the Catherine Store you can pick up The Aspen Times. The Glenwood Springs Post Independent content will also be featured in The Aspen Times and vice versa.
This will be a work in progress for a while. Like any new venture, there will be some adjustments as we go. Enjoy reading the bigger and better Glenwood Springs Post Independent.
