Glenwood Springs Post Independent Holiday Fund will donate to 10 local nonprofits this year
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” For the sixth straight year, the Glenwood Springs Post Independent will be sponsoring the Holiday Fund fundraising drive.
This unique project partners with the Two Rivers Community Foundation, The Valley Journal, The Citizen Telegram and La Tribuna to raise money to be distributed to local nonprofit organizations.
This year, the project will be limited to 10 Garfield County nonprofits with a goal of $20,000 to be distributed to them.
This year more than 30 nonprofits applied for funds with requests topping $60,000. In an effort to maximize the funds and to have the most far-reaching impact, the number of nonprofits was limited to 10 this year.
Every nonprofit that applied is a worthy organization and one that does outstanding work in our community. But the number was limited to a manageable level so a substantial amount of money could be distributed to the selected nonprofits.
