Glenwood Springs Post Independent to unveil new look

Dale ShrullPost Independent StaffGlenwood Springs, CO Colorado

Little do you know, but in your hands, you’re holding a bit of a collector’s item. This is the last Glenwood Springs Post Independent you’ll see that looks like this. Tomorrow a new-look Post Independent will be unveiled.Of course that depends if everything goes as planned. On Wednesday, this newspaper will have a different look. Some of you may think it’s a dramatic change, while others might not see much of a change. The new look won’t really have an impact on how we present our editorial content. Things will be presented in pretty much the same format as it is now.The look will be different, though, and one of the big moves will be the return of the name Glenwood Springs to our flag. The name was dropped a few years ago and we felt that it was time to bring it back. This newspaper has always been a regional product but our offices are located in Glenwood Springs. I feel that a daily newspaper should have a location in its name. So, here’s a day’s advance warning. The Post Independent will look a little different when you pick it up on Wednesday morning.
