Glenwood Springs Post Independent’s Holiday Fund will again distribute money to nonprofits
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” The holiday season means many things. Mostly, it’s the season of giving.
For the fifth year in a row, the Glenwood Springs Post Independent will be sponsoring the Holiday Fund fundraising drive.
This unique project partners with the Two Rivers Community Foundation, The Valley Journal, The Citizen Telegram and La Tribuna to raise money for area nonprofits.
This year, the project will be limited to 10 Garfield County nonprofits. The goal is $20,000.
To be considered, nonprofits must show proof of their tax-exempt status and have been in operation for at least one year.
The Post Independent will make final decisions on the 10 nonprofits to which funds will go.
Nonprofits have until Thursday, Nov. 13, to apply to be part of the 2008 Holiday Fund.
Please include name of organization; amount of your fund request; who will benefit from the funds or what the funds will be used for; contact person, telephone number and e-mail address.

Nonprofits from Garfield County benefit many people and are always in need of funding. After the nonprofits are chosen, their names will be announced, and then it will be up to the public to help raise the money that will be distributed to them.
