Gold medals for Glen Valley

Dear Editor,

The Glen Valley Care Center deserves praise and thanks for a job well done. We recently had to admit a family member to Glen Valley. It was a very difficult decision and step to take. The staff at Glen Valley made it easier for us because of their genuine concern and thoughtfulness for my father and our family. I was so very impressed with the respect and warmth they showed my father and other residents.

Most people who have visited a nursing home come away with a feeling of dread at the thought of “being there.” What we don’t see in a brief visit to a nursing home is how much people like the staff at Glen Valley can and do make a difference and overcome the first impressions of a nursing home visit.

The staff at Glen Valley are skilled, caring and thoughtful. This made a huge, positive difference to our family. They have a difficult job with long hours and low pay, but they truly are the most dedicated, giving bunch of professionals we have in our health delivery system. They all deserve gold medals for excelling in their event as a team that can’t be beat! We thank you.
