Grady L. Alexander

Grady L. Alexander, 79, passed away Sept. 8, 2008, at Rockport Coastal Care Center in Rockport, Texas.

He was born Sept. 5, 1929, in Lott, Texas, to Tom and Cassie Bridgewater Alexander.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wanda Alexander; sons Terry (Helen) Alexander of Salida, and Darrell (Dana) Alexander of Carbondale; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother David (Gretchen) Alexander of Tremonton, Utah; sisters Ginger (Jim) Davis of Artesia, N.M., and Jean (Louis) Shirley of Plano, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald Lynn; brothers Glenn and Lynn Alexander; sisters Marie McVay, Doris Warren, and Winnie Rizzo.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m., Friday, Sept. 12, at Trinity Chapel, 5201 Martin Ave, Austin, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 13, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Rev Melvin R. Clearman will officiate. Graveside services will be held at noon, Saturday, Sept. 13, at Lawrence Chapel Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made in Grady’s name to the American Cancer Society.
