Grammy winner Ian to play in Basalt

Janis Ian will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, May 10, at the Basalt Middle School auditorium. A two-time Grammy Award winner, she has received nine Grammy nominations, has recorded 17 albums and written nine film scores. Her 1970s hit song, “At Seventeen,” sold more than 1 million copies.Annie McIntosh of McIntosh Music Productions will interview Ian at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 22, on KDNK public radio, 90.5, 88.3 and 100.1 on your FM dial. Ian’s “Might as Well be Monday” is the theme song for McIntosh’s radio program, Women’s Voices, which airs Mondays.
