Grand River Hospital District offers three flu shot clinics

Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado

Grand River Hospital District knows the importance of keeping its staff and others healthy. This time of year, the flu can easily spread from person to person. The best way to protect yourself and those around you is to get a seasonal flu shot.

Grand River is offering three flu clinics this season where you can come in, without making an appointment, and get your flu vaccination. Due to receiving a limited supply of pediatric vaccines, we are asking that those 18 years and older come to these clinics. Cost is only $25. The dates, times, and places are as follows:

• Wednesday, Sept. 23

7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Grand River Hospital and Medical Center in Rifle

Rifle Creek Conference Room in Southwest Addition

• Friday, Sept. 25

11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Grand River Hospital and Medical Center in Rifle

Specialty Clinic at North Entrance

• Wednesday, Sept. 30

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

According to the news release from Grand River Hospital District, anyone who wants to reduce their chances of getting the flu should be vaccinated. Flu vaccines are updated every year to protect against new strains. Remember, the seasonal flu vaccine will not give you the flu.

Flu shots have been offered to employees, volunteers and their families. This helps keep Grand River a healthy environment for patients to bring their families.

The news release also states that vaccination is an important step to prevent getting and spreading the seasonal flu. It’s also important to remember to wash your hands frequently and to avoid close contact with those who are sick.
